This is really interesting, and kinda funny at the same time. The New York Yankees are building a new bigger and “better” stadium over in the bronx. In fact it is right across the street from the old one.
It turns out one of the constructions workers (A Red Sox fan it seems) apparently attempted to curse the Yankees by planting a Red Sox jersey underneath the floor of the stadium in a service corridor.
Once the Yankees got wind that there was a Red Sox Fan in the construction crew and that he planted the shirt, they got a construction team to jackhammer back through the concrete and dug the shirt back out. Sure enough they found the shirt. (Darn It!!!)
Anyways, something good will come out of this, the shirt will be sent to the Jimmy Fund which does great work raising money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute here in Boston. It will be auctioned off and the money will benefit the Jimmy Fund.
The article also goes on to point out that the Yankees may work with the District Attorney to file charges since they “fortunately know the name of the individual involved.” That’s silly. I don’t know if the shirt would have caused any structural deficiency as I am not a civil engineer, but I am guessing not! Do they really have to go after this guy?

It is still 183 days left until the first kickoff! But we got a little taste of European Football fever! Personally being of Portuguese decent my favorite is Portugal. But given their run in the last European championships I would say they should compete well this time around as well. At least lets hope so!
